Prerequisites
Before testing, make sure you have:- An active product with Hosted MCP Pay or SDK paywall configuration complete
- An MCP server URL ready to connect
- Access to Claude or Cursor
Connect your MCP Server
The chat test prompts and expected outcomes are the same for both integration paths. Only the connection method differs.Hosted MCP Pay
In SolvaPay Console, open your product overview and click Connect. Use one of these options:- Copy MCP URL and paste it into your MCP client
- Connect to Claude for direct Claude connection flow
- Connect to Cursor for direct Cursor connection flow
SDK integration
Connect your MCP Server directly in Claude or Cursor using your own MCP server URL. You do not need to use the SolvaPay Console Connect action for this path.Run live chat tests
After connecting and authenticating, run these prompts:Use <insert mcp name> to show my user infoUse <insert mcp name> and show my account pageUse <insert mcp name> and upgrade
Expected results
- Show my user info returns information for the currently authenticated user
- Show my account page returns a link to the hosted account page
- Upgrade returns a hosted checkout link for plan upgrade
Validation checklist
- OAuth completes successfully in your MCP client
- Authenticated user identity matches the expected account
- Account page link opens and resolves to the correct customer context
- Upgrade link opens checkout and shows valid plan options
- Protected tools are allowed or blocked based on the user’s plan
Troubleshooting
If results are not as expected:- Confirm you connected the correct MCP server URL
- Confirm your product is active and tool-to-plan mapping is configured
- Re-run the OAuth flow and sign in with the expected account
- Confirm you are testing in Live mode with live credentials
